This course was seriously one of the best programs I have ever done and a great resource tool, leading into Australian Age Swimming Championships in 2021.
The course reminded me of the importance of activation morning and afternoon and identifying areas I needed to focus on.
It helped build my connection with my mind and body and how to calm myself down on race days. Doing this course helped prepare me and provided me with the tools to use remotely at any time I needed it. I found the meditation sessions calming and energising, along with Kirsten’s chats on how to stay positive and focussed on race days. I felt really ready to give it my all at competition time.

Not only did Kirsten get me physically prepared for Nationals, she also mentally prepared me for the pressure and atmosphere of such an important competition. The key lessons I learnt would have to have been the mindfulness, breathing and relaxation.

Combining meditation into my swimnastics session has not only given me techniques to stay present and in the moment but also taught me how to shift my mindset from a negative one to a positive one! It’s also helped me find ways to maintain focus internally and block out any other external factors that may seem to bother me. Meditation reminds me of how in control I am of my own body.
